Newspaper Design Roundup

ADCToscani1

A roundup of this months top 5 finds:

Take a look at some of the beautiful newspapers we found this month.

PencilPost

5. Pencil Post for Pencil Agency by Chloe Galea

Chloe uses this beautifully designed newspaper to help Pencil Agency show their clients just how powerful curated content can be; and boy does it pack a punch! The navy and fluorescent orange inks, along with its matching envelope, really help Pencil Post stand out on the desks of those it was sent to.

In addition to articles on content creation, Pencil Post also contains an insider’s guide to Soho’s hidden gems, a piece on William Sieghart’s Poetry Prescriptions and a showcase of Pencil’s work, among other things.

The Iceberg

4. The Iceberg by Socio Design

Iceberg is a quarterly publication produced for KAE. The publication itself contains thought pieces from senior staff, news articles and white papers on current marketing and business topics. The purpose of the newspaper is to act as a voice for KAE to communicate opinion, discoveries and achievements, while establishing a tone of quality not usually achieved in a standard newsletter or online blog format.

Trace Magazine

3. Trace by Mash Creative

Following on from Socio Design’s “The Iceberg” paper, Trace is a self promotional magazine produced by international scenographers Curious Space. Published biannually, the magazine features case studies as well as globally exhibited projects. Designed in collaboration with Socio Design

Aliment

2. Aliment by Frédérique Gravier

“Food travels, so should you”. Aliment is a newspaper that takes its readers around the globe where the best food happens. A fictional newspaper completed on her Typographie:base course at UQÀM given by Lucie Lacava.

ADCToscani

1. ADC Toscani by Underline Studio

The ADC approached illustrator Ben Weeks and Underline Studio to design and illustrate a newspaper of the inspiring speech presented by Oliviero Toscani at the ADC’s 92nd Annual Awards in Miami Beach. Working collaboratively with Ben we came up with a two-part newspaper where the larger part unfolds to become 4 posters with quotes from the speech hand-rendered by Ben and the smaller part reproduces the speech in its entirety. The final piece was sent to 2,000 top creatives around the world to promote that year’s Annual Awards + Festival.
